So I've been thinking about blogs and have decided that they are a win/win situation. First scenario, you keep lots of friends informed on what's going on in your life and it's a fun way to stay connected. Second (and unfortunately most likely), you bore people out of their minds and they end up skimming what you consider to be first rate entertainment, but they don't tell you! Either way, I'm left thinking I've accomplished something when I finish posting a blog.
I titled our blogspot 'the "i" factor' because, let's face it, when you have a blog it really is all about me. In this blog I will tell you how this mysterious i factor continues to crowd into my home.
*I see the 'i factor' in myself ALL the time - the baby's crying at night and i pretend not to notice...there aren't enough leftovers for everyone? sorry, dear, i just completely didn't pay attention...i'm jealous that my husband gets to go to the gym on his lunch break while i get up at 6:15 to go while everyone is still in bed. See? it's all about the terrible 'i'.
*last week my 18-month-old, Lauren, was yelling (in her own way) at me about wanting something different to eat. I looked over at her and said firmly, "you need to say please." To that, she stared me down with her angry eyes and nearly started a fire on her chest from rubbing so hard the sign for "please". The 'i factor' starts early around here.
I find every day new places that 'i' comes out in me. It's a continual battle, but thankfully God has promised to not give up until He brings completion to the mess that is me.
Those are my thoughts for today. -sharon
